Incertitude for solo clarinet (2016)

Incertitude is simply defined in the Webster-Merriam dictionary as “uncertainty.”  This feeling describes my emotions as I left my native state and all my friends to move to Arizona with my fiancé. Life was changing rapidly and there were definitely times of uncertainty and hesitation over this major life decision. This piece is supposed to reflect that uncertainty and hesitation, the conflict of coming to terms with choices, and the vindication of making the right decisions. Incertitude is the first piece I wrote as a graduate student at Arizona State University.
